G'day mates! It's only been a few days since I last put some pictures up here, but today there are already a lot of new ones. They will be the last ones for quite a while now because next week I will be travelling back to Germany for about three weeks, and I don't think I will be working on this site much then. MAybe when I come back I will have a few fotos from the trip.

So what's new?

I seem to be the only one taking fotos here, so by now you will have a somewhat skewed perception of life in Australia. It's skewed to the good side though - I hope. well, No worries! She'll be right

The new fotos are a family dinner, a big fish with a happy catcher, a lot of emus (don't ask me how they all got in here, but emus are just like that. They pop up when you don't really expect them to and then there are always a lot of them)

Also there is beach beach beach (and a beach girl! alone on the beach, with NO CLOTHES ON!!. But don't be offended about our aluring nude on the shore.
well, that's about it.

OK, so what happened in the meantime?
Most important, we moved into our new house. Now you might say that's old news and therefor not really news anymore, but I haven't got a column here for 'olds' - so where shall I put it?
The house is still pretty new (at least the renovation we did to it) and in a way we are still moving in - most evidently demonstrated by the ubiquitous occurrence of Beissner moving cartons.
The bad news (and again it's not really news) is, that in the move my camera got misplaced so I got no pictures of us carrying, I would roughly estimate, 250 boxes from Henley Beach North to it's southern end.
The really bad news is, now I will never move again. Especially not if I have to renovate. I hate renovating.
So no Christmass pictures, but to be honest, somehow this whole Christmass thing got a bit lost in the climat. At 35C that old Christmass feeling somehow fails to nucleate even the slightest bit.
It feels more like summer to be honest. Like hot summer to be really honest. Or like bloody hot summer, to say it with Australian honesty.

So instead of having white Christmass we spend most of it on the beach. No turkey, but seafood instead, from the new bar-B-que!!! (talk about dreams coming true! hey! I got living proof!) The candles melted, Roxy, the little dog ate the cookies (or biscuits).
And then New Years! What a feast! I still hold it that in all that Hoo Haa over the "Millenium New Years party" last year, the Australians got the best of it! They were one of the first ones to see the new day dawn (OK, New Zealand, but what's New Zealand other than just that island off shore Australia).
Again, we spent it on the beach. A little party, some beer and champagne, and then a lot of "hugging strangers" at midnight.
Nuff talking now! Have a look at some new pictures.

Just one little note , some of the images might take a little while to load. That is because the files are at a slightly higher resolution than necessary so you can download and print them at acceptable quality. So please be patient.
The newer pages don't offer high resolution images any more - too much problems with the loading of the pages. Present resolution is 100dpi, slightly above internet standard. That shoud fix the downloading problems.

Did I mention that you have to "left-mouse-click" on the images or announcments to get to the respective pages?

.. and in the meantime
Lots and lots of fotos! HEAPS of fotos! Fotos galore! Fotos The Lot! Magnificent fotos of Australia
The visitors
As I said above, my camera got misplaced during the move. But it's back now and the first fotos are spilling out again. Here is mainly David at the Cleland Park.

Here I have put together some last summers photos of us and friends at our cottage in Metel. (updated 17.03. 2000)

This site is set up for all our friends and relatives who want to know where we are, what we are doing, where we are going and what's the lates news about us.
This site can also serve you if you want to let us know what you are up to. So if you got any files, images, texts or whatsoever you would like to have installed here, send us a short email and I will arrange for it. For the start I will just try and setup little galleries with recent and some not so recent pictures of us and what we are doing.
Of course in the future we will install a camera so you can see us waving at you.... well, maybe I will put on some short filmclips for the start and some sounds... whatever comes up. I will try to maintain this site regularly, but I am busy at work and at home with the preparations for the big move, so it might be a day or two inbetween before news are up on the pinwall.
